Koffieconcert - Koninklijk Conservatorium
Afdeling jong KC: Atheneum Kamer Orkest
The Hague is brimming with musical talent. For years now that talent has been presented in the Coffee concerts that have been held in the Philipszaal on Sunday mornings. Ten of these concerts are devoted to the cream of the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague at which music students allow the audience to listen to their future dreams. But there is more. Two young orchestras from The Hague will also be on stage: the Viotta Jeugdorkest, that celebrated its twentieth anniversary last season and the Hofstads Jeugdorkest, which at 85 is the oldest youth orchestra in the world. And if that’s not enough there are two separate coffee concerts with youthful talent of national calibre. One is devoted to the national youth orchestra Nationaal Jeugd Orkest, the other to the children’s choir Kinderkoor Academie Nederland.
