In 2002 'Vuil & Glass' [Dirty & Glass] was to be seen as a performance on location in a hypermodern domestic refuse processing plant in Noord-Holland. Then the theatre version was selected for the Nederlandse Dansdagen or Dutch Dance Days as one of the best productions of the 2003 season. In this work Conny Janssen places the emotions of dance and music in contrast to the cool efficiency of the current disposable society. Her poetic dance style, in combination with the dynamic music of Philip Glass played by the Cello Octet Amsterdam, is an excellent means of visualising this concept.
